Vestibular rehabilitation expert in the UK – Nicola Harris.
Nicola trained and qualified at St. Mary’s Hospital, London before spending 10 years working in rehabilitation at a number of the leading London teaching hospitals.
In 2003, Nicola specialised solely in vestibular rehabilitation and established a London-based private practice treating balance patients referred by neurologists, neuro-otologists, ENT consultants, and GPs. Nicola is very experienced in the management of medico-legal clients with balance problems and a significant part of the private practice work is given over to medico-legal casework.
The NHS takes advantage of her expertise at a Regional Balance Centre in the South East, which is recognised as a centre of excellence in the management of a complex balance disorders with a national referral base.
Nicola was one of the founding members of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists with an Interest in Vestibular Rehabilitation (ACPIVR). She is a regular speaker at conferences on the management of balance disorders and she is a member of the faculty on a Basic and Advanced Vestibular Rehabilitation Course for Physiotherapists.
Nicola Harris is registered with the Health Professional Council, is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, and has been CRB checked.
